"A servant tired of the excuses and ready to change how we save lives."

Our founder brings nearly three decades of frontline experience in fire service and emergency management. Since 1996, they have answered thousands of emergency calls, managed hundreds of disaster operations, and dedicated their life to protecting others in their most vulnerable moments.

Through years of service on the front lines, they witnessed firsthand the gaps in disaster response—the moments when help arrived too late, when resources ran short, when coordination faltered. They saw families waiting in uncertainty, communities struggling to recover, and lives forever changed by preventable failures in the system.

A Career Forged in Fire

From the Front Lines to Leadership

Starting as a firefighter in 1996, our founder has spent nearly three decades serving on the front lines of emergency response. Year after year, call after call, they have run toward danger while others run away. They have climbed into burning buildings, extracted victims from mangled vehicles, rappelled into treacherous terrain, and waded through floodwaters to reach those in need.

Their experience encompasses the full spectrum of emergency management:

  • Fire Suppression & Rescue Operations - Structural firefighting, wildland fire response, technical rescue, and vehicle extrication
  • Emergency Medical Services - Pre-hospital emergency care in the most challenging conditions
  • Disaster Response & Recovery - Hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and other major incidents requiring coordinated multi-agency response
  • Incident Command - Leadership roles in emergency operations following the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Training & Education - Teaching the next generation of emergency responders
  • Crisis Intervention - Providing support to those experiencing their worst moments

But experience alone does not define our founder. It's what they've learned from that experience—the lessons earned through success and failure, the wisdom gained from thousands of decisions made under pressure, and the understanding that there must be a better way.

Why Start Sentinel Disaster Response?

Tired of Watching People Fall Through the Gaps

After decades of service, our founder had witnessed a truth that couldn't be ignored: despite the heroic efforts of first responders, medical professionals, and volunteers, people still fall through the gaps in disaster response.

Local and regional resources become overwhelmed. Federal assistance takes time to mobilize. And in those gaps—sometimes hours, sometimes days—real people lose hope, lose their homes, and sometimes lose their lives.

Our founder grew tired of hearing excuses:

"We don't have the budget."

"That's not our jurisdiction."

"We're waiting for federal approval."

"Help is on the way... eventually."

Tired of watching bureaucracy slow down urgent action. Tired of seeing the same problems repeat with every disaster. Tired of attending funerals for people who could have been saved if help had arrived sooner.

Most importantly, tired of being a servant who wanted to do more but was constrained by systems designed for efficiency rather than urgency.

So they founded Sentinel Disaster Response—not to replace existing emergency services, but to supplement them. To fill the gaps. To be ready when others cannot respond. To use decades of hard-won expertise to serve those who need it most.
